SunStill Privacy Policy

SunStill, by Beach Bum Tech LLC, St. Pete Beach, Florida. Last updated September 29, 2026.

The short version

SunStill collects nothing and sends nothing anywhere. The app has no internet access at all: it does not have Android's internet permission, so it cannot connect to any server, including ours. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no tracking of any kind.

Location

If you allow it, SunStill uses your phone's approximate (city-level) location to work out when the sun sets where you are. That calculation happens entirely on your phone. Your location is never sent off your device, and SunStill never asks for your precise location.

If you'd rather not share your location, you can choose a city from a list built into the app instead. You can change this at any time from the page behind the small i (tap the sky to reveal it), or turn location off in your phone's settings.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, SunStill schedules one quiet notification a day, shortly before sunset, on your phone. You can turn it off at any time from the same page, or in your phone's settings.

What is stored on your phone

A few small settings are saved on your phone so SunStill remembers them: whether the bell and location are on, the city you chose (if any), and your last approximate position so the evening bell can be scheduled while the app is closed. These stay on your device. Uninstalling SunStill, or clearing its storage in your phone's settings, removes them.

Children

SunStill is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone, of any age.

Third parties

SunStill includes no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking code. It uses Android's own system services (location, notifications, alarms) on your device only. Google Play, which delivers the app, has its own privacy policy.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, for example if a future version needed internet access, the change will be posted here with a new date before that version is released.
